FPL Touchline ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our Fantasy Premier League assistant application.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

FPL data: When you link your Fantasy Premier League team, we store your FPL Manager ID and retrieve publicly available data from the FPL API, including your team name, squad picks, transfer history, league standings, and points.

AI chat data: Messages you send to our AI assistant are processed to generate responses. We log usage metadata (message count, token usage, timestamps) for rate limiting and service monitoring. Chat message content is not permanently stored.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics including page views and feature usage to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide personalised FPL analysis and AI-powered advice
Display your team data, squad, fixtures, and league standings
Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
Improve and maintain the service
Communicate important service updates

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: Database hosting and user authentication
Vercel: Application hosting and serverless functions
Anthropic (Claude AI): AI chat assistant processing
Fantasy Premier League API: Public FPL data retrieval

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS.

6. Data Retention

Account and FPL data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. AI usage logs are retained for service monitoring and are periodically purged.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including UK GDPR), you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
